The ninth annual Vermont Breakfast on the Farm will be held Saturday, Aug. 5 at Sunderland Farm in Bridport, Vermont. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m., with breakfast seatings every 15 minutes from 8:30-11 a.m.
Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved online in advance. Vermont Breakfast on the Farm is held rain or shine.
Attendees will enjoy breakfast featuring yogurt, cheese, milk, sausage, granola and fresh fruit, donuts, maple syrup, and other locally-sourced products. Following breakfast, visitors will be able to embark on a self-guided walking tour of the farm.
During the event, attendees will learn more about how farmers care for their animals, protect the environment, and produce nutritious food.
Attendees will see firsthand how Sunderland Farm – the 2020 Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year – has embraced new technologies for cow comfort and production, including milking robots.
Sunderland Farm is a sixth-generation dairy farm that sits on more than 800 acres in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains. Their herd includes over 450 cows and they ship their milk to the Dairy Farmers of America Cooperative in St. Albans.
Since the inaugural event in 2015, more than 11,000 people have attended a Breakfast on the Farm event. Be sure to reserve your tickets for this year’s event before they’re sold out.
